What’s new: INTERPOL’s Operation Ramz has successfully disrupted cybercrime networks in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), resulting in 201 arrests and the identification of 382 additional suspects. The operation, conducted from October 2025 to February 2026, targeted phishing and malware threats, leading to the seizure of 53 servers and identification of 3,867 victims. Notable actions included the dismantling of a phishing-as-a-service operation in Algeria and the discovery of compromised devices in Qatar. Jordanian authorities also uncovered a financial fraud scheme involving human trafficking victims.
